ROOTSTOWN, Ohio- Grief counselors will be at Rootstown High School following the death of a 17-year-old girl.
Bailey Simons was driving on South Main Street in Green on Saturday when she lost control of her car and hit a tree. The 11th-grade student died at the scene.
Rootstown Schools Superintendent Andrew Hawkins said there will be a crisis response team, church leaders and clinical counselors at school on Tuesday. The district postponed ninth-grade testing in light of Simons’ death.
The high school also had a community gathering Monday night for students, parents and staff.
