For many it is a nightly struggle- getting a good nights rest.

All this week we are doing a series on sleep.

We know we need more sleep than we're getting and chances are you do too.

But you may not know what happens when you continually deprive your body of sleep.

FOX 8's Wayne Dawson talked to a local doctor about the physical and psychological effect sleeplessness can cause on your health.

On a lighter note, he got us thinking about which side of the bed people like to sleep on.
