Motive unknown in deadly shooting at Warrensville Heights barbershop

WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, Ohio- Warrensville Heights officials held a news conference on Friday following the barbershop shooting that killed three people.

The shooting happened at Chalk Linez Barber Shop on Harvard Avenue Thursday night.

“This is very difficult because our community does not go through incidents like this,” Police Chief Wesley Haynes said.

He said he didn't know what motivated the shooting.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office identified those killed as Walter Lee Barfield, 23, of Cleveland; William Gonzalez, 32, of Garfield Heights; and Brandon White, 31, of Warrensville Heights.

White's sister, Keisha Landson, said her brother was a barber, who leaves behind two young sons.

Two other males and one female were also injured in the shooting. They are in stable condition.
