STRASBURG, Ohio- Both suspects have confessed to their roles in the murders of Doyle and Lillian Chumney.

On Friday, Tuscarawas County Sheriff Walt Wilson said Robert Clark confessed. Clark, 29, was caught after a series of robberies and a high-speed chase in Arizona. Detectives from Tuscarawas and Coshocton counties traveled to Mohave County to interview him on Thursday.

During a court hearing last week, prosecutors said they had a confession from the other suspect, 21-year-old Jeffery Craig Stewart.

No promises were made in exchange for the confessions.

The Chumneys were reported missing on Jan. 21 after their daughter found their Strasburg home ransacked. Their bodies were found in their burned car the next day.
