STOCKTON, Calif. — The man who became an Internet sensation over his mug shot is now heading to prison.

When Stockton Police Department posted his mug shot on their Facebook page, it went viral. Users called him things like ‘dreamy felon’ and ‘mug shot stud’, and memes of Meeks were spread all over social media. CBS Sacramento reports that he was even given a modeling contract.

According to CBS Sacramento, Meeks was sentenced Thursday to more than two years in prison. He was also ordered to participate in a substance abuse program.

Meeks’ photo is still posted on the police department’s Facebook page, and is still getting likes and comments.
