Young girl shot in leg while selling Girl Scout cookies in her neighborhood

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - A 9-year-old girl was shot in the leg on Tuesday while selling Girl Scout cookies, according to Indianapolis police.

Sinai Miller, 9, was shot in the lower left calf and according to Fox 59, was in recovery at a local hospital until her release Tuesday night.

The girl and her two sisters were selling the cookies in her neighborhood. She was shot at from a blue Ford Expedition.

Neighbors said this kind of crime isn't typical in their community, which is very family-friendly.

Police are still currently searching for suspects.
