AKRON, Ohio- An Akron woman told police a man tried to abduct her at gunpoint Monday morning.

It happened while the 37-year-old woman was waiting for the bus at Inman Street and 5th Avenue. She told FOX 8 she thought he was waiting for the bus as well.

Akron police said a man wearing a black mask pointed a gun at the victim and grabbed her neck. He tried to force her across the street and into a wooded area, but the woman screamed and pulled away.

The victim, who was not injured, ran home to call police. "I was screaming for my life. It was just me and God. I know he was gonna kill me," she told FOX 8's Suzanne Stratford.
