Emergency workers and bystanders lift car off pinned victim at Wickliffe market

WICKLIFFE, Ohio- One person was hospitalized following a crash at the Sweet Berry Fresh Market in Wickliffe Tuesday morning.

The victim was pinned between a car and a pole, which was supporting an awning at the Euclid Avenue store. The Wickliffe Fire Department said firefighters, officers and bystanders moved the car off the victim.

The person was taken to Lake Health, but needed to be transferred to MetroHealth Medical Center. No medical helicopters were flying because of the weather so they victim was taken to the level-one trauma center by ambulance.
