The Weeden Family Singers is a local gospel choir made up of many generations of family.

This family of singers shares a special history with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. .  Their ancestor Dr. John Weeden was a well-known Baptist minister in Cleveland who often invited Martin Luther King Jr. to Northeast Ohio to speak at St. Timothy Baptist Church.  The two men also worked together on voter registration drives in Cleveland.

Phyllis Weeden Oliver is the daughter of Dr. John Weeden and she directs The Weeden Family Singers. The group performs at various events in the community throughout the year and has also recorded a CD.
