PERRYSBURG, Ohio (AP) — A hacker claiming to back rebels in Syria posted a message of support on an Ohio city’s website.

The message appeared for a brief time Thursday morning before the original site was restored.

Police in the city of Perrysburg just outside Toledo say they are investigating. The FBI also says it’s also aware of what happened.

The hacker posted a video on the site along with a message that said the world needs to know about the suffering by the Syrian people.

Above that message was an image of the Syrian Republic flag used by opposition groups in Syria.
