AKRON-- A bridal shop forced to close because of the ebola scare got some much appreciated help Thursday night.
A good samaritan presented owner Anna Younker with a check for $7,700. Terri Crispin raised the money through a GoFundMe account.
"Coming Attractions" was visited by nurse Amber Vinson who treated an ebola patient in Dallas.
When news of the visit surfaced, business plummeted. Younker said she had no other choice but to close down the business.
The money will help defray costs and pay employees during a liquidation sale. But it is not enough to save the store.
Crispin said she wanted the help. "When I heard the news I was heartbroken for her then I read her Facebook post and I wanted to cry. I mean she's so gracious, honorable and humble. And for her to go out like this didn't seem fair," she said.
Younker said, "I didn't expect the support from all over, not just financially. The phone calls, the letters, people calling and wishing us well. We had a lady drop of lunch for us today, did that just feeling bad for the situation. That meant a lot to us."
There is still some hope. People interested in helping can visit here.
