Officer recognizes suspect in North Olmsted bank robbery during traffic stop

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio- A man wanted for robbing a North Olmsted bank was arrested during a traffic stop.

North Ridgeville police said Lt. Kevin Jones noticed a car making several lane violations on Lorain Road.

Jones stopped the car at Lear Nagle Road because he thought the driver might be impaired. He immediately recognized the man behind the wheel from his wanted flier.

Jordan Dongarra was wanted for robbing the Fifth Third Bank on Lorain Road in North Olmsted on Dec. 30. According to the FBI, the robber waved a gun around while demanding money from the drawers.

Dongarra was arrested, and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence and robbery. Police said they recovered possible evidence of the bank robbery in his car.
