Akron teen accused of robbing pizza delivery driver at gunpoint

AKRON, Ohio- A 16-year-old was charged with robbing an Akron pizza delivery driver.

The Pizza Hut driver was robbed while trying to deliver food on Nadia Court near Dahlgren Drive. Akron police said the suspect was armed with a handgun, and took the driver’s money, phone and car keys.

Officers found the suspect, a 16-year-old boy, at a home on the same street. They were able to recover the delivery driver’s belongings and found the .22 caliber revolver that was used in the robbery.

The teen was charged with aggravated robbery and having weapons while under disability, and put in the Summit County Juvenile Court’s custody.
