Alliance firefighter accused of recording high school student undressing

ALLIANCE, Ohio- An Alliance firefighter is accused of recording an underage girl undressing.

Douglas Miner, 41, was indicted on 16 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor and one count of tampering with evidence.

Goshen police said Miner recorded video of a West Branch High School student undressing in early 2014. He tried to hide the evidence on his computer and cellphone from police and the Ohio Bureau of Investigations.

The Alliance Fire Department said Miner submitted his letter of resignation on Dec. 26 and has not returned to work since. The letter is effective on Jan. 10.

Miner was arrested and taken to the Mahoning County Justice Center. He’ll appear in count on Jan. 13.

Goshen is located in Mahoning County and is about 12 miles west of Alliance.
