Police: Father, son arrested for theft after surveillance set up on trash day

TWINSBURG, Ohio- A father and son have been arrested on theft charges.

Daniel Weber, 44, and his son, Kyle Weber, 18, of Sagamore Hills, were taken into custody Tuesday morning.

According to Twinsburg police, detectives set up surveillance on trash day after receiving numerous reports over the past couple weeks of Christmas cards being stolen. The cards were supposed to be for waste service drivers.

Police said the pair was found on Burridge Lane casing the neighborhood.

Detectives stopped their car and said they were able to link them to the thefts. They said stolen gift cards were found in the vehicle.

The father and son could face more charges.
