Ohio Turnpike offering free coffee to drivers for New Year’s

BEREA, Ohio — More than 3.7 million people are expected to travel on the Ohio Turnpike this week — and anyone on the road during New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day can get free coffee.

According to a release from the Ohio Turnpike, about 3.7 million people are expected to be traveling the turnpike during the culmination of the holiday season.

The Ohio Turnpike and its vendors have a long-standing tradition of offering complimentary coffee to holiday travelers.

So travelers can get one cup of coffee from 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve until 7 a.m. on New Year’s Day at several plaza concessions.

Those include: APlus Convenience Store, Burger King, Hardees and McDonald’s. This offer is also available at Panera Bread, located at the Mahoning Valley and Glacier Hills Service Plazas at mile marker 237.2 on the eastern end of the state.
