Eastlake man accused of beating, biting woman

EASTLAKE, Ohio- An Eastlake man was arrested for punching and biting his girlfriend, police said.

Officers were sent to a home on Stevens Boulevard in Eastlake after dispatch received a 911 hang-up on Sunday. When they arrived, police said they heard a woman screaming for help from a back bedroom.

The victim broke free from her attacker and ran to police. She told officers she was visiting her on-and-off boyfriend and they two got into an argument that turned physical.

Robert Prah, 26, held down the woman, while he punched, bit and choked her, according to police. She tried to call 911, but he took the phone from her.

Eastlake police said the victim’s injuries were visible, including several bite marks.

Prah was charged and taken into custody.
