Traveling for the holidays? Massive storms brewing for Christmas week

According to NBC News, storms brewing across the country are expected to bring rain, winds and snow that could make traveling messy by land or sky.

Potential flash floods could affect the coast of Washington, Oregon and northern California on Sunday. That same system is set to bring lingering showers and snow showers for the west as it moves into the central United States.

As for the East Coast, southeast coast and mid-Atlantic region, NBC News reports that showers are expected to hit at the beginning of the week. For us here in Northeast Ohio, snow is predicted for the upper Midwest and western Great Lakes on Tuesday.

The Great Lakes area will also see snow showers on Christmas Eve, with accumulations in parts of Michigan, Illinois and Ohio.
