CLEVELAND- Cleveland police arrested three teens in Ohio City after one of them pulled a gun on officers.

Cleveland officers were patrolling around West 25th Street and Lorain Avenue just after midnight on Wednesday when they spotted three teens. While officers tried to investigate, the teens took off running.

During the chase, one 17-year-old pulled out a semi-automatic, .380-caliber handgun, police said. The teen fumbled with gun while running and dropped it. That’s when one officer used his Taser on the suspect.

More officers responded to the scene and found the other two 17-year-olds. Police said the boy from Euclid was wanted for robbery and a parole violation, and the other teen from Cleveland was wanted for burglary and a probation violation. According to police, he cut off his court-ordered, monitoring ankle bracelet.

The three boys were taken to the Cuyahoga County Detention Center. The parents of each teen were cited for violating the city’s curfew.

The handgun was recovered.
