CANTON, Ohio- Police are encouraging support of a Canton restaurant after it was robbed at gunpoint.

The robbery happened at about 11:23 p.m. Tuesday at Loong Fung on Tuscarawas Street West.

Canton police said two males hit the owner and her son with a gun, then fled with an unknown amount of cash.

The Canton Police Department posted on its Facebook page that people who like Chinese food should stop into Loong Fung to support the business.

“If you are a small business owner, you know how difficult something like this can be to your business, not to mention the emotional damage that can occur,” the department wrote on Facebook.
