QUEENSLAND — A mom and dad in Queensland have issued a birth retraction in their local paper, and it’s getting attention all over the world.

According to The Courier-Mail, Yolanda Bogart placed the retraction as a show of support for her now-son.

It says: “In 1995 we announced the arrival of our sprogget Elizabeth Anne as a daughter. Oops our bad. We would like to present our wonderful son – Kai Bogert. Loving you is the easiest thing in the world. Tidy your room.”

Yolanda told The Courier Mail that Kai told her just a few days prior he no longer wanted to live as a female. That’s when she placed the ad.

Kai told The Courier-Mail that he hasn’t had hormones or made any decisions about reassignment surgery.
