I-76E reopens after crash involving several vehicles

AKRON, Ohio — A portion of I-76 eastbound in Akron has been reopened after a large traffic crash with injuries.

According to Akron police, I-76E was closed west of the central interchange after the crash. All vehicles traveling eastbound from the west leg were diverted south to Interstate 77 south.

As many as nine vehicles may have been involved in the crash.
