YOUNGSTOWN --  Rescue crews came to the help of a dog in Youngstown Saturday morning, after she was stuck on the roof of a home for several days.

The dog's owner says his home was broken into earlier in the week and was staying at a friend's house in the meantime. He thought the Rottweiler, named Isis, escaped during the break-in or was taken, according to WKBN.

The dog actually climbed through a hole and on to the roof.

Saturday morning, a Youngstown fireman rescued the dog, who was visibly thin.

The Mahoning County Deputy Dog Warden says the dog is about 30 pounds underweight, but is recovering and will soon be up for adoption.

The dog's owner signed ownership of the dog over to the county and has been cited for not having a dog license.
