Middleburg Heights boy collecting shoes to help those in need

Those extra shoes in your closet that you no longer wear, could actually help to fight global poverty.

9-year-old Joshua Titus, from Middleburg Heights, is on a mission to collect more than 40,000 shoes for Soles4Souls. The global organization works to collects shoes to help those in poverty around the world.

Joshua started his shoe collections when he was 5-years-old. He has now expanded his collections to several elementary schools in his community.

Donations for Joshua's shoe drive are being collected every Saturday for the rest of November.  Used shoes can be taken to the Re/Max location at 18332 Bagley Road in Middleburg Heights, or the Re/Max at 25021 Center Ridge Rd. in Westlake.

Anyone can donate from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
