FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio-  After discovering that two cars disappeared from his parking lot, the owner of Complete Automotive Repair on Lorain Road in Fairview Park checked video from his surveillance cameras Thursday morning and was shocked by what he saw.

Rich Keller said two men in tow trucks pulled into the lot late Wednesday night, and towed away two cars that were being repaired at the shop: a 1999 Ford Taurus and a 1997 Toyota Camry. Keller told FOX 8, "I'm very upset still. It becomes a personal thing, more than it is like 'hey wait, this happens'."

The video shows that the tow trucks left Keller's lot and headed east on Lorain Road toward Cleveland. We asked Keller if there was a possibility that the men who towed the cars had a legitimate claim to them. "From talking to both of the customers, they would not be repossessed, neither one of the cars should be repossessed," said Keller.

If it was not a double repossession, what was it? Keller theorizes that the cars were taken to a chop shop, and cut up for parts.  "I mean there's a lot of Ford Taurus out on the road. I mean maybe they could use those for parts; the same thing with the Camry, maybe they could use it for parts. It seems kind of very strange that this would happen."

Keller said he is outraged that the tow truck drivers trespassed on his property and took his customers' cars. He contacted FOX 8 because he's hoping someone out there can clear up the mystery, and identify the drivers or their trucks. "There's no defending this anywhere.  I mean they could steal your car anywhere you're at, if you show up with a tow truck”, said Keller. “I mean there's nothing defending somebody from doing that."

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Fairview Park police at 440-356-4415.
