Cleveland Foundation announces November gift

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Get excited for a night at the theater!

The Cleveland Foundation announced its November gift on Fox 8 News in the Morning Monday.

The gift includes 2,300 free tickets to five separate holiday performances by Cleveland Play House, Cleveland Public Theater and Great Lakes Theater at PlayhouseSquare on Sunday, November 30.

The Cleveland Foundation of Theater will include the following productions at PlayhouseSquare:

- "A Christmas Story" by Cleveland Play House at the Allen Theater at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. (family -friendly show)

- "A Christmas Carol" by Great Lakes Theater at the Ohio Theater at 3 p.m. (family -friendly show)

- "The Santaland Diaries" by Cleveland Public Theater at the Outcalt Theater at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. (adults-only show)

Beginning November 3, people can enter the online lottery at www.playhousesquare.org/giftlottery. The website will remain open for 100 hours, until 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7. The lottery is not first-come first served. People will be randomly selected to attend the performances. All registered individuals will receive email notification by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14 if they secured the tickets.

People can only select one performance and register once for up to four tickets for a single performance. Only one entry per household is permitted.

The Cleveland Foundation, a charity organization created by and for the community, has offered a “gift” to the public for each month of 2014 to celebrate its centennial.
