Alabama man robs Subway restaurants, blames ‘Jared Diet’

A failed diet leads an Alabama man on a crime spree.

18-year-old Zachary Torrence was arrested Friday for allegedly robbing four Subway restaurants over the course of four days, according to the New York Daily News.

Officers said Torrence confessed to them that he was angry because he tried the so-called ‘Jared Diet’ and it didn’t work. He told officers he then wanted his money back.

Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle made the diet famous, which was attributed to eating Subway sandwiches.
