Bomb threat closes local school district

SULLIVAN,Ohio- The Black River School District is closed today due to a bomb threat.

School Treasurer Connie Hange told FOX 8 the high school principal received a bomb threat in an email this morning.

The Ashland County Sheriff’s Department is at the high school making sure everything is safe.

Hange said out of an abundance of caution, the district is closed today.

The students were already at the high school building and were moved to the K-8 building auditorium where they are being picked up by parents or buses.

The details about what was said in the email is not available at this time.
