Taxi driver stabbed, robbed of taxi

CLEVELAND – A taxi driver was stabbed and robbed of his taxi early Sunday morning.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. in the 400 block of Cleveland Road. According to police, the 60-year-old driver was stabbed in the chest, and robbed of his money. The suspect then took off with his white Americab taxi.

The taxi driver was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment. His condition is unknown.

The Americab was later found unoccupied in the 1000 block of E. 79th Street. No arrests have been made.
