RANDLE, Washington -- Two male sophomores were sent home during their school's spirit week for wearing dresses.
According to KING, one was dressed like Nicki Minaj and the other like Miss America.
The students said they expected their costumes would get attention, but they didn't think they'd get in trouble.
One of the students, Mason Mudge, was told to change, and but he wasn't given a reason for having to do so. Both he and the other student, Chandler Krueger, chose to go home rather than change their clothes.
When they returned to school, there was a big show of support from their classmates: dozens were wearing clothes traditionally work by the opposite sex.
The superintendent told KING that after reviewing the district's policies, boys in dresses would not be sent home again.
