Police: Woman tried to lure children into van saying she had candy

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio- Police are looking for a woman who reportedly tried to lure two children into a van.

According to the Willoughby Police Department Facebook page, the children, ages 9 and 11, said they were playing at the St. Clair park on Friday just after 5 p.m., when a white van pulled into the Sunoco on Vine St. and parked close to the playground.

A woman reportedly told the children to come closer to the van because she had candy for them. Both children ignored her and walked away.

The van was described as being a white work van without any side windows.
