CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police launched an investigation after a man who was shot in the face drove himself to the hospital.
The incident happened in the 10700 block of Woodland Avenue on the city’s east side around 9 p.m. Sunday.
Officers happened to be leaving Cleveland Clinic Hospital for something unrelated when the victim raced into the lot.
He said he had been shot in the face and then ran inside for treatment.
The passenger in the Chevy Tahoe told police two men had approached their vehicle and began firing.
The 36-year-old driver was hit but managed to continue to the hospital. He was later transferred to MetroHealth Medical Center.
Details on his condition were not immediately known.
