MANSFIELD, Ohio — The woman caught on video taking a stuffed animal from a child’s grave has been ordered to serve jail time and pay a fine.

Frieda Kay Shade, of Mansfield, admitted to taking the toy from Mansfield Memorial Cemetery in May and pleaded no contest to petty theft.

Shade claimed she did it to keep a loose dog from destroying it.

The Ontario Police Department told Fox 8 News a picture of the 14-month-old was on the grave marker, making it clear it was the resting place of a baby.

Shade was sentenced Tuesday to 30 days in jail and must pay a $250 fine.
