Man accused of driving over 6x legal limit in OVI crash with kids in truck
SANDUSKY, Ohio- A man in Sandusky is accused of driving more than 6 times the legal limit with his children in the vehicle.
According to Erie County Sheriff Paul Sigsworth, David Sizemore’s blood alcohol level was .505. Sigsworth told FOX 8 he couldn’t remember a higher reading in his career.
Sigsworth said Sizemore, 39, was driving with his five-year-old daughter and seven-year-old son when he crashed his pickup truck on Wahl Rd., after leaving a bar.
No one was injured in the crash; however, Sizemore was taken to the hospital when he became unresponsive.
The sheriff said a mason jar of moonshine was found in the truck. It was almost empty.
Sizemore was charged with OVI and endangering children.
