Men’s Health Magazine just did the “delete and tweet” — that is, remove something offensive from its website then tweet an apology.

The article explained how men should talk to women about sports.

According to USA Today, it reminded men that women “see the game differently,” “need storylines” to enjoy it and “don’t care about stats.”

The reaction was not pretty.

Men’s Health’s apology came in a two-part tweet that ended with, “It wasn’t meant to suggest that women are in any way inferior to men, in sports, or anything else. But … we’re sorry that it did.”
