Authorities announce creation of heroin task force in Lake County

LAKE COUNTY, Ohio — Lake County authorities will create a heroin task force within the sheriff’s office to address the growing rate of crime related to the sale and use of heroin in Lake County.

Authorities had a press conference Wednesday afternoon to make the formal announcement.

The press conference focused on the need for additional assistance to local law enforcement agencies in their efforts to identify and prosecute criminals involved in the buying and selling of heroin.
