CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Cleveland Heights Police Department is taking disciplinary action against an officer, who was caught on camera sleeping on the job.

Cleveland Heights Police Chief Jeff Robertson said Officer Trevor Harris has been suspended with pay, pending the outcome of an investigation into last week’s incident.

A passerby snapped a photo of Patrolman Harris as he slept in his cruiser in a parking lot, with a textbook propped up on the steering wheel.

The FOX 8 I-Team was told Harris is a night school student at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

The chief has indicated that the officer could face punishment ranging from a reprimand to dismissal.
