Most Americans in favor of the stay-at-home parent

When it comes to staying home with your children or going to work, most Americans are in favor of a parent staying home.

That’s according to Forbes citing a Pew study.

Sixty percent of Americans say it’s better if one parent stays home fulltime to look after the family.

However, research also found kids who spend time in day care “fare just as well cognitively” as those who are cared for by stay-at-home parents.
