Beginning later this month, Walmart employees will have to follow a new dress code — and they have to pay for it themselves.

According to Gawker, many of the employees, who live at or below the national poverty level, say it’s an expense they just can’t afford.

The new dress code, which requires workers to wear khaki or black pants along with a collared blue or white shirt, begins on September 29th. Walmart says the clothes can be purchased anywhere, but employees can use their associate discount to purchase the required clothing from the store.
