Man says he made one change on resume, got flooded with job offers

A man named José Zamora said he’d been looking for a job for months, even sending out 50-100 resumes a day.

He told BuzzFeed, when he dropped one letter from his name, he immediately started getting responses and job offers.

José dropped the ‘s’ from his first name to make it Joe.

Zamora told BuzzFeed, “Sometimes I don’t even think people know or are conscious or aware that they’re judging – even if it’s by name. But I think we all do it all the time.”

He said some of the same employers that once ignored his resume were now responding to him.
