TWINSBURG, Ohio --Police said two men have been arrested in connection with a vandalism spree.

Gabriel Phillips, 19, and Mitchell Durkee, 20, are charged with criminal damaging.

Investigators believe they are responsible for smashing and destroying nearly 30 mailboxes in several locations in Twinsburg.

Several of the all-brick mailboxes are worth $1,000 each.

So far, police aren't saying what led them to the suspects.

“I hope these arrests send a message to anyone who considers committing a crime like this in the future. Our police department will do what’s necessary to keep our neighborhoods safe and secure, and protect the properties of our residents," said Twinsburg Police Chief Chris Noga.
