Photos: Man robs gas station at ‘fingerpoint,’ then is chased & shot at by clerk

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Police in Cleveland Heights are searching for a man who reportedly robbed a gas station employee at gunpoint last week.

According to police, it happened at about 3 p.m. Aug. 25 at Cedar Hill Sunoco.

The man demanded money from the register and indicated he had a weapon while placing his finger to the employee’s neck. No weapon was seen, but the man fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

As the suspect was running away, the gas station employee followed him into the parking lot, firing five rounds and striking the suspect’s car in the front and passenger side area. That vehicle is described as a small to mid-sized black sedan.

The suspect had a distinct tattoo on his left upper arm. He’s also described as being about 5’9″ tall with a medium build.
