MILWAUKIE, Oregon -- A football player at Portland State University is fighting to keep his spot on the team after claiming he was forced to pick between "God and football."
According to KPTV, Vincent Johnson said he went to his coach with a problem: four of his church's services fell during the same time as football practice.
Johnson said his coach would only allow "some" of the absences.
Johnson has filed a complaint with the university. In a statement, the university said the incident is under investigation.
