Victim’s name released after hit-and-run involving motorcycle

CLEVELAND — A motorcycle rider was killed early Monday morning when a car failed to yield and collided with the bike.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Angel Cuevas Jr., 25, of Parma.

The accident happened around 1:10 a.m. on Fulton Road at Storer Avenue in Cleveland.

According to the Cleveland Division of Police, a 43-year-old man who was highly intoxicated turned left in front of the motorcycle and the vehicles crashed.

The suspect tried to leave the scene but bystanders detained him.  He was then arrested.

Cuevas was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The accident was under investigation.
