(CNN) — Robin Williams, who died Monday at 63, was a comedic inspiration for many performers, and he also was a brilliant dramatic actor.

Actors and fans around the world are mourning his death. See their reaction below.

The Cleveland Improv Comedy Club & Restaurant released the following statement:”Robin Williams was part of the Improv Comedy Club family. In the same week, he would perform at the NYC Improv and the Los Angeles Improv. It is a well-known story that for the grand opening of the Improv in San Diego, Robin Williams performed and was surprised onstage by his idol, Jonathon Winters. That was the first time these two comedy geniuses performed together.

He was a master at improvisation and was an icon of standup. What a loss.”
