NEWTON, North Carolina — An arrest has been made in the murder of a woman from Northeast Ohio.
An arrest warrant was issued Friday for Sharman Howard Odom, and police say he was in custody by Saturday afternoon.
Maggie Daniels, 31, who was from Lakewood, currently had been working as a teacher in North Carolina.
She was found dead in her apartment in June. There was no sign of forced entry and no foul play in the days before her murder.
A release from Newton Police Department said physical evidence obtained during the course of the investigation led to the warrant for Odom’s arrest.
Police say Odom lived in the same apartment complex as Daniels, and his apartment was previously searched by police.
