The Seattle Mariners overcame a Cleveland seventh inning lead en route to a 6-5 win at Progressive Field Thursday.

Cleveland led 1-0 after one thanks to a Michael Brantley RBI single.

Seattle scored in the top of the second to tie the game and added 3 runs in the third to take that 4-1 lead.

Dustin Ackley hit a two run homer to make it 3-1 game, and Robinson Cano doubled in the 4th run.

In the bottom of the third, Jason Kipnis hit a two run homer to make it a 4-3 game, and a Carlos Santana sacrifice fly tied the game at 4 apiece.

In the bottom of the 7th inning, Santana poked a grounder through the left side of the infield (Seattle was in a shift with just one infielder on left side) to plate the go ahead run.

Seattle didn’t waste time in getting right back in the game. In the top of the 8th inning, Mike Zunino slammed a 2-run homer to give Seattle the 6-5 lead.
