My Town: Stray Games adoption event

CLEVELAND — Homeless dogs and cats throughout Cuyahoga County will be competing in an adoption event just for them.

The Stray Games will be hosted Friday, August 8, through Sunday, August 10 at the City of Cleveland Kennels, Cleveland Animal Protective League and the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter.

Adoption fees for dogs will be reduced to $50 including the license fee and cat adoptions are $5 for adults, and $10 for kittens.

Shelter hours during Stray Games are as follows:

Cleveland Animal Protective League                       

1729 Willey Avenue, Cleveland, OH  44113

Hours: Friday 11am – 6:30pm, Saturday 10am – 5pm, Sunday noon – 4pm


City of Cleveland Kennels

2690 West 7th Street, Cleveland, OH  44113

Hours: Friday 10am – 6pm, Saturday 10am – 5pm, Sunday noon – 4pm


Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter

9500 Sweet Valley Drive, Cleveland, OH  44125

Hours: Friday 10:30am – 6pm, Saturday 10:30am – 4:30pm, Sunday noon – 4pm


The adoption event is being held to coincide with the Gay Games.
