On a mission: Mysterious ‘woman in black’ treks through Ohio

She’s being called “the woman in black,” and she’s captured attention all over the country as she’s walked alone through many states.

According to Daily Mail, the woman is dressed in a black robe and carries black luggage. She doesn’t talk, and keeps to herself.

Police have identified her as Elizabeth Poles, 56, of Motts, Ala. Many believe she’s on a religious mission.

A Facebook page has been created to document her journey. It’s called “Where is the Mysterious Woman in Black?” Photos posted to the page show Poles in places like Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and in Athens and Hillsboro in Ohio.
