CLEVELAND -- Just one week left until FOX 8 Stuffs the Bus.
Kathy Hirko, co-founder of Cleveland Kids in Need Resorce Center, stopped by the Fox 8 studios on Thursday morning to talk about the big event.
This is the 8th year for Stuff the Bus and we hope it is the best year yet.
Last year, your generosity helped us fill nine school buses with supplies for needy students in Cleveland and East Cleveland. This year, the program will expand to help students throughout Northeast Ohio.
The Cleveland Kids In Need Resource Center allows teachers from area schools that qualify for help, the opportunity to shop for free school supplies for their students.
You can also help the Cleveland Kids in Need Resource Center by attending the ninth annual "Night at the Shoreby" on August 12th. For more information, click here.
Here is what we need:
- We really need crayons this year; 24-count box of crayons preferred
- Wide or College rule filler paper or notebooks
- 2 pocket folders
- Number 2 pencils
- Construction paper
- 8 1/2 by 11 copy paper
- Colored markers and pencils
- Black and Blue pens
- Boxes of tissue
- Anti-bacterial soap or wipes.
Plus, we will always take back packs, or school bags, art supplies, anything and everything school supply related. To our area businesses that may have old letterhead or things with old logos– teachers can use it, so bring it down.
The FOX 8 Stuff the Bus is sponsored by Great Clips and Hudec Dental.
Please join us on July 31 and help us give a great start to the school year for our area children.
